MtK Contemporary Artは2021年3月に、京都の重要文化的景観に指定されている岡崎に日本庭園を有するギャラリーとして開廊しました。西日本に所縁のあるアーティストのプログラムを中心に、国内外で注目を集めるアーティストの企画展覧会を開催しています。

Established in 2021, MtK Contemporary Art is located in the heart of Kyoto’s vibrant cultural district, Okazaki—home to major institutions such as the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art and the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. Situated in a designated landscape preservation area, the gallery preserves the traditional and historical features of its building and Japanese garden. The 97.2-square-meter exhibition space is characterized by its distinctive inverted hull ceiling. MtK Contemporary Art is committed to providing a platform for artists, from early career to established, primarily those from around Kyoto.
